The latest jim thomas sculpture is a baby giraffe to be cast as the figure head for the spanish cedar box to contain the ashes of marilyn hershman, the mother of tara, our daughter-in-law. marilyn has since passed from cancer and the giraffe was her favorite animal. i think a baby rendering is appropriate and a duplicate will go to matt, tara’s brother.
